Hello

I’m Helen.

I’m an Anxiety Coach and Mentor for women navigating anxiety, identity, and change in midlife, and the creator of the ABC Method™.

I support women who appear calm and capable on the outside, yet internally feel anxious, over-responsible, or quietly depleted.

This work exists to help you move beyond coping, and begin inhabiting your life again — with greater calm, self-trust, and nervous-system safety.

The ABC Method™ grew out of many years of supporting women through anxiety, transition, and identity change, and is grounded in a nervous-system-led approach to lasting emotional safety and steadiness.

My Story

This work was not born from theory alone, but from lived experience.

I spent over 15 years working in education, including senior leadership roles in high-pressure environments. From the outside, I was capable and dependable — someone others relied on. But internally, I lived with a constant sense of vigilance and responsibility. I knew how to cope, how to continue, how to hold everything together. What I did not yet know was how to feel fully at ease within myself.

In 2016, I founded BirthWright, a wellbeing practice supporting women through pregnancy, anxiety, loss, and major life transitions. Over nearly a decade, I worked closely with hundreds of women navigating profound emotional and identity shifts. This work deepened my understanding of the nervous system, and of the quiet ways anxiety can live beneath even the most outwardly capable lives.

Alongside my professional work, my own life was unfolding in ways that asked me to inhabit this understanding more deeply. Motherhood, business ownership, caregiving, grief, relocation, and the transitions of midlife all brought me into closer relationship with anxiety — not as something to eliminate, but as something to listen to.

I came to understand that anxiety is not a malfunction.

It is a signal.

The ABC Method™ was born from this integration of professional experience, nervous-system understanding, and lived reality. It is the work I now share with women who are ready to move beyond coping, and begin inhabiting their lives again.

Today, I bring together over two decades of leadership, wellbeing work, and coaching experience to support women navigating anxiety, midlife transition, and identity change.

Many of the women I work with have spent years being strong for others. They are thoughtful, capable, and deeply responsible. Yet internally, they feel tired of holding everything alone.

My role is not to fix you.

It is to help you understand what your anxiety has been trying to protect, and to support your nervous system in rediscovering a sense of safety, steadiness, and self-trust.

Because anxiety is not the problem.

Disconnection is.

And when reconnection happens, something begins to shift. Life feels calmer. More spacious. More inhabitable.

Not because you have become someone new.

But because you have returned to yourself.
